Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (1997)
IMDB rating: 6.40
Plot: This panoramic tale of Savannah’s eccentricities focuses on a murder and the subsequent trial of Jim Williams: self made man, art collector, antiques dealer, bon vivant and semi-closeted homosexual. John Kelso a magazine reporter finds himself in Savannah amid the beautiful architecture and odd doings to write a feature on one of William’s famous Christmas parties. He is intrigued by Williams from the start, but his curiosity is piqued when he meets Jim’s violent, young and sexy lover, Billy. Later that night, Billy is dead, and Kelso stays on to cover the murder trial. Along the way he encounters the irrepressible Lady Chablis, a drag queen commedienne, Sonny Seiler, lawyer to Williams, whose famous dog UGA is the official mascot of the Georgia Bulldogs, an odd man who keeps flies attached to mini leashes on his lapels and threatens daily to poison the water supply, the Married Ladies Card Club, and Minerva, a spiritualist. Between being Jim’s buddy, cuddling up to a torch singer, meeting every eccentric in Savannah, participating in midnight graveyard rituals and helping solve the mysteries surrounding Billy’s murder, Kelso has his hands full.

Can someone please explain this movie quote from "Midnight in the Garden of Good And Evil"?
My question has to do with the movie ‘Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil", staring John Cusack.
This might be the dumbest question, but i have to know…
In the movie, after this guy Billy (i think his name was) is killed, Cusack’s character tries to find out about his past and who he lives with and stuff.
Well, apparently he lives with a drag queen named Chablise.
Cusack talks to her and asks something to the effect of , Are You OKay?
And she says, "Well, its like my mama used to say:
Two Tears in a Bucket, Motherfuck it."
And thats the quote, i know it looks painfully simple, but could someone please explain, what she meant?
shes saying shes fine, because all it is is just two tears in a bucket. Just "motherfuck it" because its useless and it doesnt matter. cant really say it clearly but there you go

Well it’s not that simple

. I think it means that whenever something bad happens to you, you have to go through it and keep your chin up. I think you can explain it as this: In a bucket (=life) filled with many tears, experiences, two more tears (two more sorrows) is something that we are used to, we know how to handle, so motherfuck it (don’t let it take you down). Hope I helped! XD
