|

The movie is exactly the length of a DV Tape and a sub-plot is established by showing bits and pieces of video previously recorded on the tape that is being recorded over. Can You Please Critique a Photo? 3 to choose from =D?
Hey Everyone.
I was wondering if anyone could critique any of these photos. Just one would be really nice! Harsh criticism is fine as long as it’s constructive. I’m trying to improve as much as possible!
3 photos I took today:

Thanks very much!
Photo#1) Good coloring but the bottom third is soft, seemingly from distortion, and I find it distracting. There is no main subject for the eye to rest on, but for me it would be a keeper to use as a background sometime.
Photo#2) I like it, like the use of the effect, I find it has a bit too much on the top. I would like to see a bit more DOF so that all the plant is in sharp focus. I think it would all be contained better if you burned in the edges.
Photo#3) I like the sense of balance, although it needs a tad more on the right. The main subject is not in sharp focus. This would be a prime subject to use a polarizing filter on, there is so much glare off the leaves and that is distracting. That area is totally blown out, lacking all detail. Nice use of dof in the background. Well worth shooting over.
Hopefully you accept this critique in the spirit it was given, as a guideline and encouragement to continue and strive for even better images. Keep shooting!

I think they’re good, but nothing I haven’t seen a million times before. Try to think outside the box! x

my favorite is the second one. as for the first one, its kind of confusing. i would try and put focus on a single clover for such a closeup. the third one is a nice subject, but i would make it have better composition (like another side going of the page) instead of the plant growing straight up. the quality of the picture doesnt look as great on the last one too. hope that helped!
